Hot Chicken Joint
Our Story
Namkeen isn’t just a place; it’s a conversation. Between Nashville and Pakistan, between the past and the present, between the fiery kick of cayenne and the deep earthiness of cumin. In Urdu, namkeen means “savory,” but for us, it also means “you’re home now, sit down, let’s eat.” It’s the warmth of South Asian hospitality—where the plates are full, the flavors are bold, and everyone is treated like they’ve been here forever even if they just wandered in.
It all started at our family’s weekly gatherings, which are less “gatherings” and more like chaotic feasts where everyone talks over each other and laughter gets louder as the night progresses. Inspired by Nashville’s hot chicken craze, our brother, Usman, started experimenting in the kitchen. It began with a dash of cayenne here, a hint of turmeric there. Then suddenly, he hit on the otherworldly combination that literally took our breath away: crispy-coated, buttermilk-brined hot chicken smothered in a special blend of Pakistani spices. We all tried it and immediately knew something big had just happened.
In 2020, we decided to let the rest of the world in on the secret. Namkeen isn’t just about chicken. It’s about blending stories and cultures, textures and tastes in a way that makes you feel more alive, like your mouth is on fire, but in a good way. Our chicken is all-natural, free of hormones and antibiotics, and completely halal, because doing things the right way matters.
We’re obsessed with perfecting the art of hot chicken and making the entire experience—flavors, textures, vibes—something you’ll think about long after you leave. Something you’ll want to share with the people you love. Something that makes you smile. So, come by. Try one of our specials. Stay as long as you like. And let yourself fall in love—with the chicken, with your friends, with the moment, with all of it.
